Stir together in a bowl the flour, baking powder, sugar, onion salt, oregano, dry mustard and cheese.
Combine egg, milk and butter; add all at once to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
Spread batter in a greased loaf pan.
Bake in a preheated 350ºF oven 45 minutes.
Cool 10 minutes on wire rack.
Remove from pan, slice to serve.
