90-Minute Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 tsp salt
- 6 tsp shortening
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 in yeast cake dissolvedwarm water 1 package
- 1 egg beaten
- 3 1/4 - 4 cups flour
Instructions
- Combine hot water, salt, sugar and shortening in bowl; let stand till cool; add egg and yeast.
- Add flour until mixture handles easily.
- Let stand 5 minutes and shape in rolls.
- Let rise until double in bulk.
- Bake at 350ºF for 30 minutes.
