Crab Canapes
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup cream cheese softened
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp hot pepper sauce
- 1 pkg imitation crabmeat or lobster flaked, 8 ounces
- 1/3 cup chopped red bell pepper
- 2 green onions with tops sliced (about ¼ cup)
- 64 slices cucumber about 2 ½ medium cucumbers cut 3/8” think
Instructions
Prep
- Combine cream cheese, lemon juice and hot pepper sauce in medium bowl; mix well.
- Stir in crabmeat, red bell pepper and green onions; cover.
- To allow flavours to blend, chill crab mixture at least 1 hour before serving.
When ready to serve
- Spoon 1 ½ tsp crab mixture onto each cucumber slice.
- Place on serving plate; garnish with parsley, if desired.

Also good served on melba toast rounds.
