Ingredients

  • Margarine or butter softened
  • 1 cup butterscotch-flavoured chips
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tbsp margarine or butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 5 cups Cheerios cereal
  • 1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1 tbsp shortening
  • 1 package milk chocolate chips 5 3/4 ounces

Instructions

  • Butter square pan, 8x8x2 or 9x9x2”.
  • Heat butterscotch chips, corn syrup, margarine and vanilla in 3-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until butterscotch chips are melted and mixture is smooth.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Stir in cereal and miniature marshmallows until well coated.
  • Press evenly in pan, using buttered back of spoon; cool
