Candy Bar Cookies
Ingredients
- Margarine or butter softened
- 1 cup butterscotch-flavoured chips
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 2 tbsp margarine or butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 5 cups Cheerios cereal
- 1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
- 1 tbsp shortening
- 1 package milk chocolate chips 5 3/4 ounces
Instructions
- Butter square pan, 8x8x2 or 9x9x2”.
- Heat butterscotch chips, corn syrup, margarine and vanilla in 3-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until butterscotch chips are melted and mixture is smooth.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in cereal and miniature marshmallows until well coated.
- Press evenly in pan, using buttered back of spoon; cool
