Rice Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 qt milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup rice
- 3 eggs
- 1 tbsp sugar
- nutmeg for colour
Instructions
- Combine milk, sugar and rice in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for an hour or until rice is mushy. Stir frequently to prevent sticking or burning.
- In a bowl beat eggs and 1 tbsp sugar until thick.
- Add milk and rice mixture a spoonful at a time until eggs are thick.
- Pour into serving bowl.
- Add nutmeg for colour on top.
- Cool before serving.
